First, Christ the Victor would like to give a big thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers. This year we have a few openings in volunteer positions:
Meal Train Leader:
After successfully launching our Meal Train program and serving as team leader for many months, Roz Gorski is stepping down. We thank her for her service, especially in light of the fact that she works a full time job. If anyone is interested in filling this position please contact Pastor Chase. Roz is willing to help train the new leader. Below is an overview of what the Meal Train Leader does.
More Information on Meal Train: The Meal Train Leader’s primary role is to coordinate the team’s volunteers to ensure that meals are being delivered to individuals and families who need them. The team leader will normally be informed of an individual or family in need by the Senior Pastor, Deacon or Church Office and be given as many details as possible about the situation. The team leader will then contact the individual or family to gather more specific information including food allergies, restrictions, sensitivities and meal delivery days.
Altar Guild Leader:
We also want to thank Denise Fruehling for serving as leader of the Altar Guild. She has served in this position for as long as I have known her and is now passing the torch on to someone else. If anyone is interested in filling this position please contact Pastor Chase. Below is an overview of what the Altar Guild does. P.S. We already have a dedicated team member who makes the communion bread so don’t let that stop you from volunteering!
More information on Altar Guild: The Altar Guild helps prepare communion on communion Sundays. They are in charge of putting out and cleaning up the bread and the wine. They also make sure that paraments are changed during the right times and seasons in the church year, as well as take care of the altar cloths and altar candles.
Sunday School Teacher/Aide:
If you are willing to teach Sunday School in any capacity (once a month, aide only, etc) please contact Pastor Chase or our Sunday School Superintendent, Karla Chase at [email protected]. Our children are depending on you!
